About Me

I'm a Math and Computer Science teacher passionate about data science in general and deep learning in particular.

I've taught for seven years in France in CPGE, which is a two-year intensive full-time course preparing top high school graduates for the entrance examination of French engineering and business schools. Each year I had a group of 40-48 students and we covered general undergrad Mathematics (calculus, real analysis, linear algebra) and introduction to programming (in Python). I then moved to New York City and wrote several textbooks covering this course, all published by Dunod editions.

I discovered deep learning through the excellent MOOK of fast.ai taught by Jeremy Howard, and got fascinated with it.

This blog is a means for me to explain the concepts I learn as I delve further into machine learning, because I think that it's the best way to really master new topics.
